Dreamers or Doers, Actions or Excuses

Dreamers or Doers, Actions or Excuses

I have spent a great deal of time over the last 30 days or so, doing what I call “Chasing potential Clients” that have reached out for help to explore transitioning into business ownership.

I have always believed that “working with the willing” was my mantra and feel a bit frustrated that I have been chasing my tail getting people off the starting line and onto the journey of ownership.

Reflecting on my clients that have taken the leap to do it for themselves through a great franchise system have some traits that stand out way beyond the people I have been chasing.

Remember I said, “Working with the Willing”?  Well, the clients that have taken the leap realized they were not the smartest in the room. They wanted to make sure they wound up looking at the right business opportunities that fit their skill sets, financial, and personal goals. They wanted to heed the advice from an expert that was in their shoes many moons ago and had their best interest at heart.

They followed a process that enabled them to turn over every stone and in the end, make an informed and intelligent decision for themselves and their family. Like all of us, they were busy with work, but their dream was to do it for themselves. They made the calls necessary, read the homework, raising their bar of knowledge, and listened to an experienced coach to help them process the information.

These people were just like you. They had a dream, became Doers by following the process, kept their actions forward facing, and made no excuses for the time needed for due diligence.

The Doers with action were very much Dreamers at some point but stayed the course with no excuses knowing like everything else in life that confronts us all nothing worthwhile is easy. But to make a change and work on their dream, and not someone else’s, they needed to begin the journey of change by taking action.

Are you ready to be a Doer and take action or continue Dreaming helping someone else achieve their success?
